What are you baking for Thanksgiving? Pumpkin pies? Apple crisp? How about turkey cupcakes? Actually, double chocolate cupcakes, but they look like turkeys!

Gobble, gobble.

These cute Thanksgiving cupcakes are a big hit at my family’s dinner every year. I love the thick ganache frosting as the “body” of the turkey and the sugar pearls/dragees for the eyes.

I always pipe 2-3 times as many “feathers” as I need because I know they’ll break when I set them into the cupcake. The piped chocolate is pretty fragile.
